Create an FSD contract

Prerequisite: Refer to Funding and Service Details (FSD) Contract and also ensure the existence of the FSD project. Refer to Create an FSD Project and Use the My Projects list to search for projects

  1. From the FSD project, click Process tab > Workflow.

  2. In the Create, setup and approve FSD workflow step, click Create dropdown.

  3. Select the FSD Template.

    Tip An alternate approach to choose a contract template:

    • Click the Create, setup and approve FSD hyperlink workflow step

    • In the Auto Create Template links section, click Create link next to the FSD Template.

  4. Enter the Title.

    Note Follow departmental rules on naming standards.

    Consistent naming allows contracts to be easily searched later and improves reporting.

    Refer to P2i Naming Conventions.

  5. Enter or select the Main Contractor (i.e. a Funded Organisation).

  6. Click Create.

  7. Complete the Overview section.

    • Leave Contract Type as entered.

      Warning Do not change the Contract Type. The template has already been chosen and has automatically generated clauses when selected. Changing the Contract Type does not change these clauses and the contract will be generated incorrectly.

    • Enter a Start Date.

      Note The Start Date is the Agreement Commencement Date in the Funding and Service Details.

      Leave the End Date Type set to No End Date as the Funding and Services Details remains active until the date of expiry or termination of the last remaining funding schedule.

    • Leave the Total Value of the Contract (inc. GST) as 0.

      Note This is a mandatory field, however as contract is an FSD, the value entered here does not appear in the MCD. The Budget Tool is always the source of truth for the total values of the funding and service detail.

    • Select the appropriate option from the Manage MCD dropdown list. (refer to Electronic Signatures and Manage MCD to understand wet/electronic signature requirement)

  8. Click Save.

  9. The FSD contract is created.
